The
Smithson Valley High football team, which won a district title in 2011 and
made it to the area round of the playoffs, had six players sign national
letters of intent on February 1 to continue their playing careers at the
next level.

Easton McIntosh (McMurry University), strong safety Ryan Griffith (Colorado
School of Mines), cornerback Aaron Potter (University of the Incarnate
Word), quarterback Parker McKenzie (Abilene Christian University), punter
Ethan Perry (Texas Christian University), and offensive lineman Nolan Nasis
(McMurry University).
